Have you noticed lately that there have been a lot of people offering ebooks on Google Adsense?

Lately I have seen at least a half dozen ebooks on how to make money on Google Adsense. I have to admit the people offering these books seem to be making a lot of money with Google Adsense.

I have seen screen shots of people making $30-$200 a day. Now, $20 a day, or $600 a month is not bad. But, if you have 10 different web sites making that kind of money, that would be $6000 a month - I can handle that!

So, I decided it was time for me to learn more about Google Adsense, put some pages up and see what I can do.

First I investigated high paying Google Adwords keywords. Then I came up with a number of topic keywords based on one specific high paying keyword. Then I built a number of web pages, each geared specifically towards the topic keywords.

This site should be indexed in a few days, thanks to my blog, and we’ll see what happens.

I’ll keep you posted on the earnings of this web site. If it proves to be profitable, I’ll share with you all the tools and techniques I used to build my pages.

Which are Better - Low Cost Programs or High Cost Programs?

This is a discussion on low cost versus high cost home business programs, and which are more profitable.

This discussion is related to network marketing and direct sales programs (1 UP and 2 UP Pay Plans).

Many people believe low cost programs are better. They would tell you, and logic would tell you, that low cost programs are more profitable over time. The logic is because a program is low cost it is affordable by the most people and many will join.

This may be true, but the problem with low cost programs is the word in the paragraph above - “time”. Low cost programs are also low paying programs per member. So, it may take several months if not years before you would make a nice income. Most people will become discouraged and drop out before they make a decent amount of money.

Another problem with low cost programs is the sheer volume of low cost network marketing programs available. The number of low cost programs dilutes the candidate pool and is so competitive that it’s not as easy as it used to be to build low cost, low paying programs.

Some people believe that higher cost network marketing programs are more profitable, because there is more money to pay out, which leads to more money sooner.

The problem with higher cost network marketing programs is that most people will not pay more than $100 every month for long. If they don’t make their money back in just a few months that $100 plus a month seems like too much money to pay for little return.

The highest cost programs I have seen are usually a one up or two up program. That means there is a higher one time fee and the first one or two sales that you make go to the person who referred you. The good thing about this type of pay plan is that the pay out is very good and it generally does not take long to make your money back. Furthermore, there are no lingering monthly fees.

Of course the downside to this type of program is that because of the cost a fewer number of people will join. Or, will they? I have found that it takes little more work to sign someone up for the highest cost programs than the low cost programs.

Now, I like the high paying programs because I would rather spend my time earning $1000 as opposed to earning $10-$20. Furthermore, people joining a high cost program are generally more serious about the business and are more likely to work the business.

That doesn’t mean I’m not involved in low cost programs, because I am. There are some people who honestly can’t afford a high cost / high paying program. Most people can afford high cost / high paying programs, but they just can’t see the benefit of investing a higher amount of money into a program that can return that money many times over in a short period of time. I need a low cost program for these people.

P.S. If you haven’t tried a high paying program, you should at least check one out. Of course, I have a great one. We have a sales center that you send your prospects to. I find that most people who are hesitant to join a home business becuase they are afraid they won’t be able succeed in it.

Let me ask you a question. Can you place a newspaper ad?

Of course you can.

If you can place a newpaper ad, which you can even do online, you can succeed at this business.

I can tell you, you won’t find anything easier.

In the blog on May 19th, I explained one of the ways to quickly get listed on the search engines.

Following is the opening paragraph from that post:

You may have seen information being sold about “How to get listed in Google in three days”.

I have not purchased that information, so maybe they know something that I don’t. But, I will tell you how to get listed in the search engines in just a few days, and it won’t cost you anything (or very little).

I know of two ways to get listed quickly.
1. Submit a press release.
2. Start Blogging

In May 19th blog, I told you about press releases and gave you some examples of press releases that I have written (and I am not a great writer).

So, today I’ll talk about getting listed via a blog.

As probably know, blog is short for web log. Blogs are gaining huge popularity by the day and are becoming another tool being used by work at home internet marketers.

If you want to see how popular blogs are, just go to your favorite search engine (I hope you’ll use http://www.homebizfind.com since it’s mine). Do a search for blogs and you may be surprised at the number results you get.

The reason blogs are so popular for internet marketers is because the search engines love them! Because blogs are updated regularly, as opposed to static web sites that aren’t updated regularly, the search engines scan them often. Plus, blogs contain a lot of changing content, which again search engines love.

**** Side Note *****
I need to mention another reason blogs are becoming so popular. With blogging software you can build content rich, money making websites having no web site building skills. You don’t have to know HTML, buy web hosting, know how to ftp to your web host or have any other technical knowledge.

Okay, back to blogs and search engines.
Not only does your blog get scanned and listed in the search engines quickly, but web pages you are linked to also get scanned and added to the search engines. Now, that doesn’t mean that you will be listed high on the search engine, but getting in the search engine listings is the first step.

Normally, it takes about 3 months to get listed in the major search engines. I would NEVER using a submittal service to get my web sites listed. I only use press releases and out going links from my blog.

For example, my 3 latest web sites:

were listed in Google within a few days after I wrote about them in this blog. I used no submission services and didn’t even do press releases - it was all free, and quick.

I was a little late getting started in the blogshpere, and now I regret it. If you aren’t blogging yet, you must start if you want to compete in the internet marketing world.

It is a sad day in the internet marketing world.

We have lost one of our greatest internet marketers - Corey Rudl.

Corey died yesterday (Thursday) in a tragic auto accident at the young age of 34.

Here is the story
